My crafting thoughts for today.

Oh the Biscornu front~
You know those little pillows, I am thinking I with I knew how to make fabric covered buttons. I am wondering how much they cost and such. I think they would be the best bet for pillows to hold things such as crystals. I guess plastic ones wouldn't pose much of a threat to their surface but still. I know they come in lots of colors and such but I never had an interest in them before so I have never looked at them closely. I know they have things so you can make your own to match upholstery and such. I could even cross stitching something tiny on them depending on the size.

I am also still designing patterns for them. I should think about designing smaller ones too.

On the bookmark front~
I have gotten to the assembly part of this bookmark. Mind you this is my first ever cross stitched bookmark. I am using the closing technique from the Biscornu. It will be thicker then other bookmarks but still usable. I think it looks really cute.

I finished the pattern for the bookmark just now. I have it in PC stitch format but can do PDF if any one would like it. Today I finished the top and started on the side of the bookmark. I have to remember to leave at least five stitches worth of cloth when working on Aida cloth for this kind of finishing. It folds over much crisper that way. I did one with three and the other with five and I can really tell the difference.
